The Brandenburg Project was initiated by the Vice President of Musica Oblationem, Kenneth Chang. Through the initiative of creating a small ad hoc chamber ensemble, many young and talented musicians from the Chicagoland area receive an opportunity to rehearse and record the Fifth Brandenburg Concerto in D Major by J.S. Bach in it's entirety! After recording, the production will be finalized and published onto YouTube to be streamed freely. The initiative is also for listeners young or old not widely exposed to the Baroque repertoire, and become enlightened by it through the recording of young musicians.

Up to 6 music students get the opportunity to collaborate with Kenneth Chang as the cellist, and several musician roles are available to apply for!

Additionally, there are up to 2 audio visuals volunteering positions in which audio visual enthuasiasts get the opportunity to create a music video production closely with the foundation!

Whether it's an opportunity to get some experience in audio visual production when it comes to post or pre-production, or you're an aspiring or passionate musician wanting to play some J.S. Bach with the harpsichord and have a relaxing time rehearsing, there is something for anyone who is interested in the process of producing a classical music video production!

Funding

As with all ambitious initiatives and projects, usually nothing is free (as a given). That's why the foundation has initiated a fund for this specific project, with a goal of reaching $1,000 from potential generous donors like you! This would cover the harpsichord rental costs, audio rental equipment, cables, and camera stands that would make this initiatve shine through! Additionly, funds used from this project will go towards the IRS 1023-EZ 501(c)(3) non-profit application fee.

In addition to contributing, contributors will be able to enroll in our Patreon Board, which is involved in the participation of votes when passing certain motions in the organization.

Due to the circumstances of Musica Oblationem being a new upcoming 501(c)(3) non-profit, funding projects like these are very difficult without the support and assistance of the public. Would you, or someone you know who has the passion of classical music, film and media production, and/or music making?

As of now, Musica Oblationem is taking funding donations from Zelle (to Kenneth Chang, +1-331-385-3112), cash, check, or PayPal.

Any Contribution You Make, Helps Us Significantly!

It really does! A tiny contribution, goes a long way towards an ambitious goal of spreading music education through the process of visual audio production and the rehearsing of a chamber ensemble, consisting of many young musicians throughout the Chicagoland area.
